CBD oil (cannabidiol) is a substance derived from the hemp or cannabis plant containing high amounts of the cannabinoid cannabidiol. CBD oil is not to be confused with medical marijuana or cannabis oil. Medical marijuana and cannabis oil are sourced from different strains of the cannabis plant and contain enough THC to cause a so-called ‘high’.
HerbiGold CBD oil comes from industrial hemp, not the psychoactive marijuana strains; while the two plants are related, industrial hemp does not contain nearly as much psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC. Industrial hemp cannot contain more than 0.2 % THC – a nearly negligible amount.
The MHRA does not allow us to make any claims about what CBD Hemp Oil can do or may do for you. But, we CAN pass along that we have numerous customers using our products regularly for all sorts of different conditions While CBD doesn’t help everyone with their condition, we have many people who return regularly for repeat orders. The only way you’ll know if it will help you is to try it. If you need further advice, your doctor or medical practitioner might be able to help.
CBD oil has an effect on the endocannabinoid system, a system within the body whose receptors (CB1 and CB2) have an enormous impact on our health and well-being.
CB1 receptors in the brain are associated with emotions, mood, appetite, coordination, movement, and pain. CB2 receptors are found in the immune system and throughout tissues of the spleen and tonsils.
The endocannabinoid system is a relatively new discovery. In fact, it was actually discovered and named after the cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Seeing as cannabinoids are the compounds that activate this system, many have posited that cannabinoids like THC or CBD could help improve endocannabinoid function.
When using CBD oil drops, the best way to take them is sublingual. Once you’ve dropped the oil under your tongue, it’s working! Your CBD receptors haven’t been used much over the years. When you first start taking CBD, you need to ‘wake up’ the receptors. Then they begin reproducing more and more receptors.THEN you start slowly increasing your serving size just a bit at a time. As your receptors improve and multiply, your body can handle a larger amount of CBD. Some things will be helped by a small amount of CBD, other things will require a larger serving. The things that don’t require but a small amount may be noticeable when you first start, those that require more oil won’t be noticed until you’ve reached the necessary number of drops. Just remember, take it slow. Start low.The approach we recommend is to begin taking 1 or 2 drops, twice a day for the first 3-4 days to build it up in your system and so you can truly see what it is doing. After this amount of time, increase or decrease the amount you’re taking based on the results you’re seeing.
Before adding CBD oil to your diet, as with any supplement, be sure to check with your doctor to make sure that it’s a good choice for you. This is especially true if you are taking certain anti-seizure medications. For those who prefer to take their drops in a drink, this can be done. However, because the stomach acids work very quickly to break down the cannabinoids, it is only partially effective. When taking in drinks/foods, we recommend taking approximately twice as much as if you’re taking it sublingually.
Taking a little bit of care to ensure that you store your CBD products properly will help maintain their freshness and improve their shelf life. While there’s nothing that can keep CBD oil from eventually degrading, its freshness can be extended by limiting its exposure to certain elements.
Even if you’re sure you’re going to use a product before its expiration date, keeping it in a place that is cool, dark, and dry can ensure that you are getting the most out of your CBD products from Herbigold.
Ideally, you want to store your CBD products at temperatures that do not exceed 70F degrees. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures will cause cannabinoids like CBD to degrade.
Conversely, exposure to extreme cold may make some types of CBD oil products, such as liquid extracts, turn solid so that they’re hard to administer.
Exposure to light and heat can cause CBD oil to degrade, reducing its potency. Our oils are packaged in brown glass bottles to minimize exposure to light.
If you have a balm that is slightly too soft in your home, you can store these in your refrigerator to harden them a bit if you wish.
The shelf life for all of our products is 18 months.
CBD oil is generally considered to be safe for most people, and few people experience side effects.
Production of CBD oil is not the same all over the world – or even all over the country – due to regulations and legislative hurdles with regards to the industrial hemp that is needed to produce full-spectrum CBD oil.
HerbiGold CBD oil is sourced from Europe, which has strict regulatory standards and is organically grown.
Our oil is full spectrum and undergoes a rigorous purification process, which gives it the golden colour. Purification involves removing unwanted most of the unwanted plant matter and chlorophyll while retaining all the important cannabinoids and terpenes, resulting in a much higher quality product.
“Full spectrum” or “whole plant” CBD oil will contain trace amounts of THC as well as other cannabinoids.
While CBD is powerful on its own, it is strengthened further by the presence of other compounds in delivering a full spectrum of effects. This is known as the “entourage effect” where compounds work more efficiently when combined better than they do as many individual compounds. In addition to maintaining consistent levels of CBD, golden CBD oil has a more potent concentration of CBD than black oils, which provides better results.
Isolate CBD oils are made by isolating only the CBD present in the plant; THC and other cannabinoids will not be present in these oils.
HerbiGold oils are purified which gives them its golden colour, however as with all products that are made with ingredients grown in nature sometimes vary slightly from batch to batch. Products are not made with any additives or dyes to standardise the of our products. That said, you’re left with only 100% natural CBD oil the way mother nature intended. If you experience a colour difference from product to product that is due to the natural, seasonal variation in our hemp crops. Each batch is tested to ensure that the amount of hemp extract stays consistent in each product.
Firstly the taste of CBD oil is highly subjective. So, what tastes good to one, may not taste good to another. Secondly, let’s point out that people don’t typically take CBD Hemp products because they’re hungry and they want some good tasting food. They’re taking it for some degree of well-being and most people who have had their life changed by CBD Hemp Oil couldn’t care less how it tastes. At the base of the product is a plant extract from hemp. And, just like most herbal extracts and bitters, this extract doesn’t taste so good, generally speaking. This is why we do flavoured oils such as lemon as CBD taste better than the straight extract. However, they all will still have some degree of “plant” or hempiness to them. That’s what the product is: Hemp Oil Extract….it’t not a bag of sweets. We really hope you enjoy the products, but more importantly, we hope they bring you the well-being you desire.
CBD oil is otherwise known as cannabidiol oil a natural component of industrial cannabis or hemp. CBD oil is cannabis oil that has a high content of cannabidiol. It CBD from the flowers, leaves and stalks of the Cannabis Sativa plant. CBD oil has become very popular in the medical marijuana industry because it can be helpful in the treatment of various conditions without the typical intoxicating effects of marijuana use. Cannabis with low levels of THC under 0.2% and high levels of CBD is commonly called Hemp or Industrial Hemp. Cannabis with higher levels of THC is sometimes called marijuana or weed.
Hemp oil is also from the Cannabis Sativa plant but only the seed is cold-pressed to obtain the oil. It is also called Hemp Seed Oil. Hemp oil is very beneficial containing a lot of antioxidants and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. This oil also contains trace amounts of THC. It is not tested for CBD content but most likely contains a small amount as it is from the Cannabis Sativa Plant.
Yes! it is entirely legal to buy and take CBD supplements in the UK. Most CBD oil from industrial hemp, the same plant used to make hemp textiles and hemp seeds. This plant contains trace amounts of psychoactive THC – not enough to make you high and usually not even enough to make you fail a drug test.
HerbiGold guarantees transparency in trading, registration, 3rd party lab testing and labelling, with reliable and accurate product information to give our customers peace of mind.
No. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid that makes you high; CBD does not have any psychoactive properties. While many CBD oils, particularly full-spectrum products, contain trace amounts of THC, it is not enough to make you high.
If you are at a risk for random drug tests, for example through your job, you may wish to choose a CBD oil that is entirely devoid of THC.
The trace amounts of THC in full-spectrum oils should not make you fail a drug test, however, this depends on the type of test used. Therefore we cannot guarantee you will pass a drug test.
Yes… but it might not pass customs! CBD oil is not yet legal in all countries; while some countries exist in a relative grey area, in some countries, including Australia and China, CBD oil is illegal and could cause you big problems (including fines or even jail time) if you bring it into the country.

To make sure that you’re opting for only the best CBD oil, choose products made with organic hemp. Organic hemp often comes from Europe, though recent changes in regulations have made it legal to grow organic hemp in the United States as well.
Also be sure you’re opting for CBD oils extracted with CO2 rather than butane, and don’t be afraid to ask for lab tests from the company if they are not already prominently displayed on the company website: any company producing its CBD oil properly will be happy to provide this information, which indicates not only how much CBD is present in a given oil.
